Call for Donations
Relief for the humanitarian crisis of Syrian refugees
We are two brothers, Jasser and Omar, and we will travel to Jordan in early September 2013 to support the work of a Syrian-US-American NGO in a Syrian refugee camp. Besides logistical support, our main project will be to support setting up a school.
We would like to invite you to sponsor these activities financially. Your donations will go directly to the refugees' needs. They will be used for the school project as well as for immediate humanitarian aid (e.g., medical goods).
Every contribution counts!

Background
Since its outbreak in March 2011, the Syrian Civil War has claimed over
100.000 lives (UN), and an end to the human tragedy is
not in sight. Around three million people have left behind their homes to
find refuge in neighbouring countries. They have found shelter in several
refugee camps, where they live under severe conditions. Jordan is hosting more than 500.000 refugees (UNHCR), two thirds of which are women and children.
Over the past months, a Syrian-US-American NGO, Salaam Cultural Museum, has frequently been organizing Medical Missions (mostly consisting of
physicians of Syrian descent) to Jordan to
volunteer their medical services and realize humanitarian projects on the
ground. This work is
particularly important for the thousands of traumatised Syrian children that
are running the risk of growing up as a “lost generation”. In order to give those children the chance of a brighter future, we would
like to get engaged in setting up a school.
Every contribution counts!
Any amount can help to save lives, and bring hope for a better tomorrow!
We are heading off to Jordan on September 6. Until then, you are kindly invited
to make a contribution, by transferring the money to the accounts mentioned below (please
note “Refugees” as a reference, especially those, who are transferring their donation from a Swiss bank account. Explicitly mentioning "Syria" in the reference might cause issues on the banks' side) or through PayPal (see above).
No overhead
Your donations will go to 100% to the Syrian refugee cause, all our expenses (flights, accommodation, etc.) will be covered by ourselves.
